Welcome to Costa Rica, friendly land of democracy and rare natural beauty. With naturalist guides, see exotic birds and wildlife, hike in jungle rainforests, view volcanoes, soak in hot springs and cruise through biological reserves. Relax on both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.

 

Day 1 – San Ramon Cloud Forest

After your arrival at San Jose airport you will be transfered to San Ramon for a three night stay. You"ll be taken to your place of stay, a luxurious and elegant new house, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms (great shower), breakfast  (Costa Rican or US) included. After a short rest, there will be a 40 minute drive to the Bosque Nublado en San Ramon. You can stay a the hotel in San Ramon or join your tour guide for an afternoon hike at Cloud Forest Trail, home to epiphytes, orchids, ferns and tropical hummingbirds. On your return you could dine at the hotel's restaurant, or head back to your private residence in San Ramon.

 

Day 2 – Arenal and Volcano, Children's Museum

tart your day off with a delicious Costa Rican or US homemade breakfast.  After breakfast, you will be transported in a comfortable 4x4 SUV to one of Costa Rica’s most spectacular places to visit, Arenal Volcano (3 hour drive).  Enjoy a relaxing walk around the base of the volcano trailing through forests and old lava flows.  After this you will be ready to delight in a tasty lunch at the one of the many eateries located in the Arenal area.  Upon completing lunch, you will enjoy a short boat ride across the Arenal Lagoon; observe magnificent sights, large variety of tropical animals such as toucans, sloths, golden orioles, and many other native animals only from this tropical region.  After this you can visit the Children’s Museum which was once a military prison but is now an interactive and educational center for children, symbolic of the peaceful nature of this amazing country. After a day filled with pleasant activities you will be ready to head back to your private residence in San Ramon.

 

Day 3 – Canopy Rides, White Water Rafting, Hot Springs

xperience Costa Rican wildlife with a thrilling adventure ride as you swing through the rainforest suspended on a cable.  This is the best way to get up close and personal with the local flora and fauna as you explore life amongst the tree tops.  Or if the sky is not your thing, you may want to experience the excitement that only whitewater rafting can offer. Enjoy a scenic and relaxing raft ride through the Guanacaste area where you will be sure to spot monkeys, colorful birds and lizards.  Then be prepared to hit the class II rapids where you are bound to travel through some bumpy waters.  Of course your certified river guide will guide you through safety procedures before boarding your raft.  But if rest and relaxation are on your mind then you then can unwind and experience the soothing and calming effects of the natural hot springs of Costa Rica. 

 

Day 4 – Villas del Bosque, Beach Walks, and Horse back Riding Waterfall tour, Sunset Sail

Scenic drive to Manuel Antonio Beach area, considered one of the most beautiful beach areas of Costa Rica, its scenery captured in many romantic movie scenes and Jurassic Park.  Here you can check into the petite yet exclusive Villas del Bosque hotel, an ideal starting point to visit some of the surrounding areas.  You can start off by talking a peaceful walk along on the beach. Or if you prefer a bit more of action on your trip then you can decide on a Horse back riding Waterfall tour through the forest and pasture crossing many streams and beautiful waterfalls.  Discover the lush coast aboard the deck of a sailing vessel where you can kick back and take in a breathtaking Costa Rican sunset.  End your day with a delicious dinner at the restaurant located inside Villas del Bosque, where you will eat surrounded by nature.  Try their special fresh seafood specials dishes such as the “mariscada” or lobster.  Don’t forget to try the wide selection of drinks served at the bar like the local guaro or rum and many other national and imported wines.

 

Day 5 – National Park Manuel Antonio and departure

On your last day start off early quick breakfast at the hotel. From here you will take a short walk to the famous Manuel Antonio National Park, where you are in for a treat with the abundant flora and fauna.  Once in the park you can join a nature walk with one of the parks naturalist guides who will take you through the rainforest.  Here you will be sure to encounter birds, iguanas, several species of monkeys.  One of the trails borders Cathedral point, from where the view of the park and the sea is spectacular.  Final preparations for departure at 12:00 o’clock and transfer to San Jose Airport.
